I grew up surrounded by the gospel in a Christian home and school. This led me to live a life full of only head knowledge of God and a lot of pride from that. I came to college eager for Christian community, and God was gracious to get me connected to Campus Outreach my freshman year. My sophomore year I went to NYC and bought a book on discipleship by Olan Stubbs. Months later when I finally opened the book, I realized for the first time that my faith had been in myself and my works my whole life. I learned in the introduction of the book that my only merit is Jesus Christ. Since then, my life has been marked by freedom in Christ. I now live to know God, become more like Him, and make Him known in every aspect of my life with both boldness and humility
