I grew up going to church every Sunday and was always told to do the right thing. I wanted everyone I knew to like me and approve of everything I did. When I was 14 my father died suddenly of a heart attack and my life got flipped upside down. I continued to live for a reputation throughout high school convincing the people in my life I was totally fine with the way I was living and everything was okay. I was truly broken and felt like I had to put my feelings on the back burner to make sure I was performing to the standard I put on myself. My misunderstanding of grace always made me question how God viewed me. When I got to college I got plugged into the ministry where I began reading the Bible and understanding how God loves me and approves of me through what Christ has done. The gospel that has delivered and redeemed me from an eternity apart from God the Father is the same gospel that I have the opportunity to share with others who do not know Jesus and the grace he offers. God has used Campus Outreach in my own life to see the importance of discipleship and community. I am excited to continue to grow as a follower of Christ as well as lead others to him!
