I’ve always known who Jesus was, but my understanding of Him was mostly intellectual. I had the head knowledge but I didn’t have a true understanding of what it meant to have a relationship with God. As a result, my life was centered around myself and my relationships. My worth was determined by whether or not I felt chosen and loved by others. I was constantly striving to be enough, afraid of being left, and looking to people to define who I was.

When I came to Berry College, I got involved with Campus Outreach and God used that to show me both the freedom found in Christ and the difference between knowing about Jesus and truly following Him.

For the first time, I understood that real life is found in laying my life down and trusting in what Jesus has done for me. He lived the perfect life I couldn’t and died in my place, so I could be fully known, loved, and accepted by God.
