Birmingham Staff

I grew up in the church, but for much of my life I didn’t understand what it meant to have a real relationship with God. During a difficult season, I began to realize that I didn’t truly know the love of Christ because I wasn’t familiar with His character—who He is or what He promises His people. The summer after my freshman year, I went to Summer Beach Project with Campus Outreach, where God used intentional community and time in Scripture to reveal Himself to me. As I learned more about God’s character, I began to understand His steadfast love and faithfulness in a deeper way. That summer marked a turning point in my faith, as the Lord drew me to trust Him more fully. Since then, my desire has been to continue growing in my relationship with Christ and to help others come to know Him as well.
