I grew up believing I needed to be perfect to earn God’s love and the approval of others, which fostered years of striving and seeking validation apart from Him. Throughout high school and into college, I pursued sin in an effort to feel accepted, yet I was left empty. At Berry College, a friend from Campus Outreach invited me to New Years Conference, where I first recognized the weight of my sin. That summer, at Summer Beach Project, Psalm 23 revealed to me that I had been longing for everything but the Lord. That night I surrendered my life to Christ and encountered the freedom and steadfast love of God. Since then, He has continued to sanctify me, deepening my faith and sustaining me through both seasons of joy and times of trial. I’m eager to share Jesus with students, especially those who don’t yet know Him!
